So you would use 2 1/3 cup gf flour mix. The gf flour mix will have xanthan gum in it so you won't need the flax seed meal, unless you want to add it for extra nutrition, flavor and fiber. Does that help?

Sheltie GirlNatalie, aka "Sheltie Girl"https://www.blogger.com/profile/01046499785389700382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26815645.post-78135537658167475032008-01-12T17:22:00.000-05:002008-01-12T17:22:00.000-05:00I'm making brunch for some friends tomorrow and th...I'm making brunch for some friends tomorrow and their daughter is on a gluten-free diet.

I wanted to make waffles for everyone and will try this recipe. I bought Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free flour. Would this be a workable substitute for your mix of rice flours and cornstarch? The package ingredients are garbanzo, fava bean, sorghum and tapioca flours and potato starch.

Thanks!Madame Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00754595563988699932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26815645.post-24128755714192544472007-12-18T08:43:00.000-05:002007-12-18T08:43:00.000-05:00VeggieGirl, the veggie paparazzo & Brilynn - Thank...VeggieGirl, the veggie paparazzo & Brilynn - Thank you for the kind words about the waffles.

Brilynn: I bought a belgian style waffle maker from Villaware. It has a darkness gauge, lights for on/off & preheated, and it beeps when it reaches cooking temperature and when the waffle is done.

Sheltie Girl @ Gluten A Go GoNatalie, aka "Sheltie Girl"https://www.blogger.com/profile/01046499785389700382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26815645.post-55778319321139468762007-12-18T00:58:00.000-05:002007-12-18T00:58:00.000-05:00I lost my waffle maker in the recent move!
